Linear Plasticism
Subverting the mainstream since Impressionism which dominated by『Plane and Color』. A new aesthetic breakthrough with『Line and Texture』.
嘗試顛覆印象派以來『面塊與色彩』的主流繪畫形式。 以『線條與肌理』在美學尋找新的突破。
He grew up in popular culture such as cartoons and comics during his childhood. In high school, he studied visual arts and learned the basics of painting. Once he discovered Bansky’s works on the Internet, he realized the huge difference between traditional art and contemporary art. Although he wanted to be a painter after graduation, living in such a commercial city, he consciously needed to study commercial design to pursue it.
在那個時候,挪用式創作,動漫與街頭藝術不停出現在大眾視野,並且作為次文化不停湧入藝術領域,當時色彩斑爛的流行文化令他開始反思當代視覺文化是否沒有別的道路,尤其以東方美學為基礎的創作。

Even a child knows how valuable the forest is. The fresh, breathtaking smell of trees. Echoing birds flying above that dense magnitude. A stable climate, a sustainable diverse life and a source of culture. Yet, forests and other ecosystems hang in the balance, threatened to become croplands, pasture, and plantations.

He grew up in popular culture such as cartoons and comics during his childhood. In high school, he studied visual arts and learned the basics of painting. Once he discovered Bansky’s works on the Internet, he realized the huge difference between traditional art and contemporary art. Although he wanted to be a painter after graduation, living in such a commercial city, he consciously needed to study commercial design to pursue it. After graduating from high school in 2009, he entered a vocational training school to study graphic design, learning basics such as advertising and font design. In school, he tended to create experimental works and found that he preferred artistic creation from beginning to end.
童年在卡通漫畫等流行文化中成長。高中時修讀視覺藝術,學習繪畫基礎。而一次在網路上發現了Bansky的作品,令他意識到傳統藝術與當代藝術之間的巨大差異。雖然當時想畢業後能當一個畫家,但生活在如此商業化的城市中,他自覺需要學習商業設計去謀生。於是在2009年高中畢業後他便進入職業訓練學校修讀平面設計,學習如排版,字體設計等基礎,而平面視覺的原理也顛覆了以往他對繪畫的認知:比起真實性,更偏向關注構圖與重心。
在那個時候,挪用式創作,動漫與街頭藝術不停出現在大眾視野,並且作為次文化不停湧入藝術領域,當時色彩斑爛的流行文化令他開始反思當代視覺文化是否沒有別的道路,尤其以東方美學為基礎的創作。學習設計其間接觸視覺原理令他對抽象藝術產生興趣,開始研究幾何與色彩,特別是保羅克利與康丁斯基的造形理論,他後來就嘗試運用其理論方法分析傳統書法。在畢業後的時間裏,一邊工作一邊開發以傳統書法線條為基礎的新繪畫形式。他的最終目標是擺脫色彩的主導,並單純以線條的造形和肌理去表達他所見的事物與情感。
智能手機的技術進步令JUU也因此迷上攝影,用最方便的方法去改善自己的構圖技巧。最初他只只會選擇陽光最好的日子外出拍攝,因為色彩表現最亮麗,但慢慢地他發現陰天也有更多可拍攝的題材,尤其是彩度降低後,他更能專注於拍攝造形與肌理的表現。樹木是他經常拍攝的題材,因為他們的造形姿態各異,變化多端,配合幾何有序的建築物經常有令人驚喜的構圖產生。
